I have been taking photographs since my early teens, and in 1966, I bought my first 'proper' camera - a 35mm Yashica 35J rangefinder model, if I remember correctly. I also started to systematically store my negatives properly in folders.
I have kept all of those negatives, and have gradually been digitising them. These galleries will eventually contain all of these photographs, which cover the period from 1966 to the mid 1970's.
I have attempted to identify subjects and locations, but have made no attempt to select the photographs - these are all that I took! They are presented as albums of single films, ordered by frame number.
These albums contain photos from the second half of 1966.
I got my first 'proper' camera in June 1966, with my 16th birthday money! Prior to this, I had used a variety of cameras, starting with a Kodak Brownie 127, and followed by several 120 and 620 film size folding cameras, which could be bought for pocket money from junk shops in those days. Unfortunately, almost none of the pictures that I took before June 1966 have survived.
